Pupil Premium
Rationale
At Burman, we aim to use the pupil premium in creative ways to maximise the benefit for vulnerable learners in our school, in order to close the gaps in learning, educational experiences and progress.
We are committed to early intervention and have always extended our pupil premium support to nursery to include the younger siblings of vulnerable learners in main school.
We have carefully planned a variety of ways to provide support and help as many children as possible reach their full potential. These methods include:
- Extra teaching assistant support in all year groups, to focus on reading, phonics and writing
- Extra reading at lunchtime to boost progress for pupil premium children
